Hot Highlight: High School Musical shoe collection
Finally, there is also a matching shoe collection available for Disney’s successful High School Musical. The styling is fresh and hip targeting boys and girls aged 8 to 12 years. Styles come in sizes 30 to 39 and retail (recommended prices) for between EUR 19.90 and EUR 29.90. Deliveries will start from Spring/Summer 2009, two articles are already available now. The line will be showcased at GDS in Hall 7a but on a special exhibition area entirely tuned to the High School Musical theme. Trade visitors are cordially invited to visit and bring their kids. Also on show will be the trailer for the new movie “High School Musical 3: Senior Year”, which is slotted for release in October. On the Sunday of the trade fair 50 admission tickets will be raffled and the 1st prize is a family outing at EuroDisney in Paris.
The US movie High School Musical is a Disney production, has achieved icon status among teenies and made its actors idolized super stars. According to company press releases the first film was watched by over 170 million TV viewers in 2006, of these 75 million in Europe and eleven million in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The musical was awarded numerous prizes, the soundtrack generated platinum and gold record sales. September 2007 saw the Disney Channel celebrate the German début of High School Musical 2, again a mega success. And there is no end in sight: “This is a hot theme! And we are looking forward to High School Musical 3,” is the message from the company.
