Replay

 

The Replay Footwear collection for Autumn/Winter 2008/09 has been inspired by many factors and eras. The look is young, new and typically Replay. From the embellished baroque era are the glamorous ankle-boots with rounded shapes, columnar heels, concealed platforms and lacing.

Typically Indian are the flat ankle-boots and boots adorned with fringes, cleats, buckles and straps. And heavy boots with thick soles remind of tough-looking worker and army boots.

Mountain sports and skiing influence urban creations. The 70s and the days of the Grunge bring forth slight wedges, clean desert boots of rough suede and boots with a shabby and second-hand finish.

In contrast, particularly smart and very British are the classic ballerinas. Their colours include darkest black, light grey, midnight blue, brown, camel, tobacco, yellow, lilac, burgundy and forest green. Various leather types appear in patent, vintage and suede optics. Wool, velvet and herringbone fabrics are among the textiles used. New brandings and metal details catch the eye.
