Creative rubber boots for little artists

Making you want to paint – My Design offers very young artists a special “canvas” for developing their creative streak: rubber boots to paint on. Ran Schilo who set up the US company headquartered in Boston a year ago promises “endless fun”. Half a million of his patented “colouring kits” have been sold since.

The personally applied paintings turn every pair of boots into a “one-off” design. Application is easy: use the enclosed paint to paint on clean boots, allow to dry and the boots are ready to go. The paint will even withstand rain, muddy weather, “puddle jumping” and gentle cleaning. And should you become tired of the paintings, simply remove them with a special pad and paint again – and this can be done over and over again. Since this means fun for the whole family these boots come in many sizes – from 26 to 40.

The kit comes wrapped in a handy transparent zipper bag and includes a pair of boots, paints in six colours plus mixing palette, 32 remover pads, two brushes and an instruction leaflet with many inspiring ideas. The paints remain permanently flexible and they neither rub off nor contain any harmful substances. They reportedly undergo regular quality tests. The kits are manufactured in China and the USA and have so far been shipped to 15 countries. In Europe these boots are currently available in Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Italy and the Netherlands.
