Cima Footwear
Strong community: The Spanish sales organisation Cima Footwear, with headquarters in Elche, is an association of more than 20 shoe manufacturers, all located in the heartland of the Spanish shoe industry. Around two-thirds of all Spanish shoes are produced in the provinces Alicante and Vall d'Uxó in Castellón, primarily in the cities of Elda, Elche and Villena. Participating as a group allows the companies to have a competitive presentation on an international level. The product portfolio includes women's and men's shoes—casual and fashionable—as well as vulcanised slippers for women, men and children. Approximately two million pairs of shoes are sold annually under the Cima Footwear umbrella.
New Virtual Shoes, Joyca
International aspirations: The Spanish firm New Virtual Shoes, with headquarters in the shoe city Elche, shows a broad assortment of women's and men's shoes under the Joyca label. The company specialises in high quality, while the design covers every market segment. The assortment ranges from elegant leather shoes to casual rubber slippers. Chic, sporty, bold, cheerful and casual is the fashion statement. Healthy growth is a top priority for Joyca: "Not fast, but secure," according to a company statement. The family operation barely supplied to a couple of Spanish regions in 1975—two years later it was the entire country. The international debut followed in the early Nineties. Meanwhile Joyca is present in more than 20 countries worldwide.
