"global shoes & accessories" concurrently with GDS/GLS

Over the past few years the competitive environment for the international shoe business has changed fundamentally – Messe Düsseldorf now pays tribute to this change by introducing a new event into the market in March: 'global shoes & accessories' will be held for the first time from 9 to 11 March 2007 in parallel with GDS and GLS in Halls 15 to 17.
Commenting on this move, Project Director Kirstin Deutelmoser said: "With the launch of 'global shoes' we are siphoning off the "International Basic" segment from GDS to provide exhibitors with a new, separate forum. Symposia presenting lectures by acknowledged experts in the sector will offer both exhibitors and visitors alike extensive information revolving around the global shoe business." 'global shoes & accessories' will cover the entire spectrum of volume suppliers ranging from women’s and men’s shoes to sports and wellness footwear not forgetting bags and leather accessories. Symposia on such topics as logistics, legislation, manufacturing, quality management and country-specific information supplement the ranges on display.
