'white cubes' concept convinces sector with its elegant design
Contributing considerably to the success of GDS was the new premium area 'white cubes' which met expectations in full: a total of 90 internationally acclaimed labels plus progressive high-fashion brands presented their new collections here in an elegant and purist setting. "In response to numerous requests from the sector Messe Düsseldorf intends to further extend its premium range. The ‘white cubes’ premiere impressively showed that it is also possible to present fashion in the halls of an exhibition centre in an appealing, emotional and professional manner," said Kirstin Deutelmoser.
Exhibitors rated the 102nd GDS in similarly commending tones: for Norbert Klauser at the fashion agency Modeagentur Klauser GDS was “extremely positive. 'white cubes' has potential and should be developed further.” Maximilian Müller, Managing Director at LLOYD, was also “very satisfied with the way GDS went.” They were able to win over numerous new customers, especially from Eastern Europe and Scandinavia, said Müller.
