Brazilian Footwear
Rafael Andrade, Project Manager, Brazil (Hall 11)
We have achieved very high numbers of visitors and a high volume of orders at the GDS. Many international clients, including from the Middle East and Russia, visited us. The GDS is very important for personal customer contact.
Chie Mihara
Alejandro Cerdá, Commercial Director, Spain (Hall 9)
The mood at the GDS and especially here in the new White Cubes Area is positive and optimistic. International visitors mostly came from Europe. We are pleased with the organisation at the GDS.
Gabor
Jürgen Erfling, Marketing and Communication Manager, Germany (Hall 11)
Even on the first day of the fair, our stand was well-attended until the afternoon. The GDS is important for us, as due to the length of time it is the ideal platform to exchange information and negotiate successful orders.
Högl
Dr. Gerhard Bachmaier, Managing Director, Austria (Hall 11)
The trade fair went superbly for us. We have never had such a good event. We received as many orders on the first day as we did throughout the entire last fair. The GDS covers all significant market segments. Here we can also reach the Eastern market, which is important for us.
ITKIB
Ali Murad Kiziltas, Vice President ITKIB, owner INCI, Turkey (Hall 10)
The Turkish exhibitors were able to attract new customers from Germany. We really like the White Cubes Area, which represents an outstanding complement to the Premium area. We were able to increase our orders.
Massimo Bonini (Hall 9, white cubes/ agent’s only)
Eva Fedecostante, Representative, Italy
Our visitors commented positively on the new concept for top brands and the mood was a very good one. GDS is for us one of the most important trade fairs in the shoe branch, which is why we are represented here and of course also because of the fact that the location is Düsseldorf.
Mephisto
Prof. Dr. Rolf Konrad, Managing Director, France (Hall 12)
Even on the first day of the fair our stand was very well-attended. The GDS is one of the most international and important trade fairs for us. We welcomed all important top buyers at our stand.
Peter Kaiser
Peter Hettler, Managing Director, Germany (Hall 11)
We took good numbers of orders and are delighted with the outcome. We further developed our good contacts in Asia and Russia. The GDS is both a national and an international information platform and order fair. We met all important top buyers at the GDS. The new duration is optimal for us. We have already been to 100 GDS trade fairs and will also be present in the future.
Primigi
Guiseppe Papa, Marketing Manager, Italy (Hall 10)
Our company has been exhibiting at the GDS for 16 years and we will continue to take part. We attracted customers from the East and also welcomed our regular customers from Scandinavia and Germany. We have direct contact to the market at the GDS.
Replay
Volkmar Liebhart, Sales Manager, Germany (Hall 13)
At this GDS we registered a large increase in the specialist shoe trade through our segment expansion. We see the reduction of four to three fair days as very positive. During this time period we had plenty of time to hold all talks and place orders. Our visitors mostly came from Germany, Holland, Belgium, Sweden, Italy and France. We have also noticed that the East European market is growing, and the general mood in the branch is positive – it would be our pleasure to return to GDS.
Skechers Footwear
J.D. Moody, International Marketing Coordinator, USA (Hall 13)
For us the GDS is a very important trade fair, as buyers from the whole world are present there. Our stand was always extremely well attended. Due to the international audience we took very good numbers of orders during the whole duration.
s. Oliver shoes
Dr. Thomas Nassua, Marketing Director of shoe.com GmbH & Co. KG, Germany (Hall 14)
The mood in the branch is very good. The prelude event exceeded our expectations. At the GDS we recorded good numbers of visitors. Many of our most important clients visited us at our fair stand and we are still taking many orders. For us the GDS is the leading trade fair, where we can ideally present ourselves.
Stuart Weitzman
Monika Blattmann, Representative, Switzerland (Hall 9, white cubes)
The new white cubes concept won us over. It was a successful trade fair for us. Our clients were in good spirits and enjoyed the high quality and innovative ambience of the area.
Thierry Rabotin
Karlheinz Schlecht, Representative, Italy (Hall 9)
We are very pleased with how the trade fair went. Our stand was well-attended; especially apparent was the distribution of the international audience. Important clients came from Denmark, Japan, Switzerland, Russia and the USA. Without the GDS it would not have been possible for us to reach and extensively attend to all of these customers.
Unisa
Thomas Stein, Marketing Manager Germany, Spain (Hall 10)
The GDS still has a very high significance for us. The number of visitors ranged from very good to outstanding. This time we were also able to attract new customers, who came from countries such as Scandinavia, Holland, Lithuania, Russia, Poland, France, Switzerland, Austria and of course also from Germany. The mood in the branch is very good. We are expecting an increase in the volume of orders.
Yuta Pasch
Petra Kronenberg, Shop and Wholesales Manager, Germany (Hall 13, Design Attack)
We can regularly attract new customers at the GDS. We like the detailed decoration of the stands, and in particular the atmosphere. The lightness and open design of the stands particularly impressed us.
